The International Scientific Conference “Modern Problems of Innovative Technologies and Applied Mathematics in Oil and Gas Industry” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Academician Azad Mirzajanzade, a prominent oil scientist, State Prize laureate, Honoured Worker of Science and Technology, took place in the main building of ANAS on 13 December. In his opening speech, President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizade stressed the importance of the Order of President Ilham Aliyev "On the 90th anniversary of Academician Azad Mirzajanzade" dated 6 July 2018.
The event organized by ANAS, the Ministry of Education and the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) was attended by renowned scientists from Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, China, the United States, Sweden, Iran and other countries. The cherished memory of Azad Mirzajanzade, a prominent scientist, talented teacher and a true representative of the intelligentsia will always live in the hearts of people.
Then the Director of the Institute of Control Systems Academician Telman Aliev was awarded the “Medal named after academician Azad Mirzajanzade”.
