The International Arctic Summit "Arctic and Shelf Projects: Prospects, Innovations and Development of Regions" took place in St. Petersburg on 15-16 February 2018. Representatives of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, ministries, governors and leading specialists of the Arctic regions took part in the work of the International Summit. Director of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of ANAS, Acad. T. Aliev was elected a member of the Organizing Committee of the Summit. At the International Summit, ICS representative A. Almasov made a presentation on "Robust noise technologies and systems for monitoring the beginning of the latent period, controlling the dynamics of development and forecasting accidents at oil and gas facilities operating in extreme conditions", prepared in collaboration by the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS and the Academy of Arctic Sciences under the T. Aliev's supervision. As a result of the Summit, the proposed project was included in the list of projects recommended for implementation in the Arctic region.
